Our Beliefs
God - We
believe in one God who is creator and ruler of all. He has
eternally existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These
three
are co-equal and are one God.Jesus - We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is fully God. Jesus came to earth as a tiny infant and is fully human. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life on earth. Jesus' death on the cross was to pay the penalty of our sins. His resurrection from the dead is evidence of his victory over sin and death. Jesus ascended into heaven and will one return to earth to fully establish his reign. Jesus Christ is The Way to eternal life. Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives in the heart of every Christian. The Holy Spirit provides guidance and power for living and spiritual gifts to use for service. The Bible - We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and our final authority for faith and life. Since it is God's Word, we believe the Bible to be without error in the original writings and infallible in its teaching. Mankind - We believe that God created us in his image and to have a relationship with him. We believe that God loves individuals deeply. We believe that sin broke this relationship and caused us to experience separation from God. We believe that all people are sinners and are marred by an attitude of disobedience to God. We believe that all people are in need of a Savior. Salvation - We believe that salvation is a free gift from God because of his love. We believe that anyone who confesses their sins, asks for God's forgiveness, and places their faith in Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross receives salvation and eternal life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and eternal life. |
