My wife Krista and I came to Spring Valley in January 2000, right after
I graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in December 1999.
We have four children - Karynna, Josiah, Micah, and Annika.

Where You Were Born:
I was born and raised in NW Iowa. During most of my
growing
up years, we lived in the country outside of Boyden, IA.
Favorite
Hobbies: I
love to play most any sport - my favorites are racquetball,
softball, and basketball. I enjoy watching movies -
especially sports movies. Some of my favorites include -
Cinderella Man, Facing the Giants, Glory Road, Invincible, Miracle,
Remember the Titans, and Rudy. I also like to read - both
fiction
and non-fiction books.
Special
Interests:
It's been said that I have a slight obsession with Duke
Basketball - men's & women's. I'm also known to be a
big
promoter of Dr. Pepper. Anyone who hears me speak will notice
that I like to find ways to slip them in as illustrations.
Favorite
Food:
Although I'm known as a selective eater, my favorite food
would
have to be pizza, though I stay away from those specialty pizzas
and stick with pepperoni or sausage. I'm also a big fan of
any
restaurant that serves Dr. Pepper.
Favorite
Music:
I like Chris Tomlin, Aaron Shust, Casting Crowns, David
Crowder, Lincoln Brewster, Newsboys, and Steven
Curtis Chapman (the very first Contemporary Christian artist I began to
listen to way back in college). I also enjoy listening to
Saving
Grace (my wife's group) sing!
Favorite
Bible Verse: Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates his own
love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
